    But if you’re like us you won’t be satisfied unless you know all the egg-heady details so you can use them like a pro.

    In the tradition of Chinese Medicine, symptoms were described using terms from nature like wind, cold, heat and damp. Each of these refer to a specific set of symptoms that require a unique treatment. 

    If pain comes and goes, moves around from place to place, changes in intensity and quality, or gets worse when the weather or barometric pressure changes,  that is a ‘wind condition’.

    Pain that’s intense, focused in the joints, sharp and stabbing or feels stiff, is relieved by warmth and aggravated by cold weather or ice is a cold condition. 

    When the joints and limbs feel heavy, tired, swollen or numb; if the pain feels deep, heavy and dull most often in the joints and muscles, or is aggravated by damp, rainy or humid weather, it is considered a damp condition.

    Each of these requires a remedy specially designed to resolve the unique nature of the situation. 

    The most common topical liniments you can buy online or in Chinese markets these days are made with a one-size-fits-all recipe.

  • Our topicals are made with real medicinals and pure essential oils, and as a result, they may be naturally messy or imperfect. Our traditional remedies are not mass-produced botanical medicines; they are carefully hand-crafted in small batches using time-honored methods. 

  • Our herbal remedies are generally considered safe when used as directed. However, they are not intended for use during pregnancy or nursing unless specifically advised by a health care professional.

    While most healthy individuals tolerate these natural products well, allergies and sensitivities are always possible. If you are highly reactive to plants, pollen, mushroom spores, or essential oils, these remedies may not be appropriate for you.

    To be on the safest side, we recommend avoiding use during pregnancy or nursing. We welcome you to consult with your physician regarding the use of our topical formulas.

  • If there is ever an issue with your shipment or the product you received, please take a photo immediately of the damaged or incorrect item. Email the photo to orders@sevenstarsmedicinals.com, and we will provide a prepaid return shipping label and arrange for a replacement.

  • We do not offer a money-back guarantee. We provide high-quality herbal formulas exactly as described; however, individual results may vary. Just as a pharmacist cannot guarantee the effectiveness of a pharmaceutical medication or accept returned prescriptions, we cannot guarantee that our herbal products will work in the way you are hoping.

    Our formulas contain only herbs that have been used safely for hundreds, and in many cases thousands, of years. That said, we cannot guarantee that every product will agree with every individual. Allergies, intolerances, or sensitivities are always possible.

    We take all reasonable precautions by sourcing and using only high-quality ingredients that the vast majority of people tolerate well.

  • All special sale items are final and cannot be returned or refunded.

    For regular purchases, you may return unopened, undamaged products within 15 days of receiving them. We must receive the products in good condition within 30 days of purchase. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

    We do not offer a money-back guarantee. Our herbal formulas are made with the highest-quality ingredients, but individual results may vary. We cannot guarantee that they will work in the way you hope, just as a pharmacist cannot guarantee results from a pharmaceutical or accept returned prescriptions.

    If we send the wrong product, we will happily exchange it for the correct one and cover the return shipping costs.

  • If we are unable to ship an item as described in a timely manner, or if your order has been backordered and you choose not to wait, a full refund will be issued immediately.

  • If we accidentally send you the wrong product, you can either exchange it for the correct item or return it for a full refund. We will provide a prepaid return shipping box if you choose the refund.
